SS-31 Dosage Calculator
Calculate SS-31 (Elamipretide) injection volumes. Pre-filled for a 50mg vial with 5ml BAC water (10,000 mcg/ml).
Dose Reference Table
Pre-calculated for a 50mg vial + 5ml BAC water = 10,000 mcg/ml concentration. Using a 100-unit (1ml) insulin syringe.
| Dose | Inject Volume (ml) | Syringe Units |
|---|---|---|
| 1000mcg (1mg) | 0.100 ml | 10 units |
| 2000mcg (2mg) | 0.200 ml | 20 units |
| 3000mcg (3mg) | 0.300 ml | 30 units |
| 5000mcg (5mg) | 0.500 ml | 50 units |
| 10000mcg (10mg) | 1.000 ml | 100 units |
About SS-31
SS-31 (Szeto-Schiller peptide 31), also known as Elamipretide or MTP-131, is a cell-permeable tetrapeptide that specifically targets cardiolipin — a phospholipid found exclusively in the inner mitochondrial membrane. By interacting with cardiolipin, SS-31 helps maintain cristae structure, supports electron transport chain function, and reduces reactive oxygen species (ROS) production.
SS-31 has been studied for its potential benefits in cardiac function, skeletal muscle performance, kidney protection, and neurological conditions. It has been investigated in clinical trials for heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), Barth syndrome, and other mitochondria-related conditions.
SS-31 is supplied in larger vials (commonly 50mg) because research doses are in the milligram range. Using 5ml of bacteriostatic water gives a concentration of 10,000 mcg/ml (10 mg/ml). A 3mg dose requires 0.3ml — 30 units on a 100-unit insulin syringe.
SS-31 is administered via subcutaneous injection. Research protocols vary widely from daily to several times weekly depending on the study objective.
